Game History
Bomberman was initially created as a tech demo for Hudson Soft's BASIC compiler in 1980 and released in 1983 for Japanese PCs and subsequently for European PCs. The NES version, developed by Shinichi Nakamoto, was released in Japan in 1985 and in North America in 1987, establishing Bomberman as a popular series. Various versions and ports followed, including Bomberman Special for the MSX, a Game Boy version, and a re-release for the Game Boy Advance as part of the Classic NES Series.
